Saleem Safi is an anchor/analyst with the largest Urdu news channel, Geo.(geo.tv). Saleem Safi has done his Bachelors from the University of Peshawar. He lives in Islamabad.He also hosts a Pashto language current affairs programme on AVT Khyber(www.avtkhyber.com).
Personal life
Safi is an ethnic Pashtun and belongs to the Safi tribe. He obtained a Bachelors degree from the University of Peshawar before moving to Islamabad where he is currently based.
He was the host of “Saleem Safi Kay Saath”, a daily current affairs talk show on Pakistan Television (PTV). This program aired from April 2006 to August 2008.

He remained, the Bureau Chief of News Network International ,from 1997 to 2008. His Articles appears in pakistan's largest urdu newspaper "Daily Jang" and English language newspaper "The News" with the title of "Jirga".

Nine years of Pervaiz Musharraf Government
To help him write this book he had to travel to the Taliban controlled Afghanistan in 1999. He was arrested by them and had to be released after two weeks of captivity and international pressure from the journalist community. . His forthcoming book is titled ‘Nine years of Pervaiz Musharraf Government’.

Safi has traveled widely in the region for his work. The countries include Afghanistan, Iran,India,Saudi Arabia, UAE, Turkey,UK, Europe and United States.
